Original site of the Allgäu quality brand PostBier
The Post of Weiler is the original site of the Post Brauerei. given 170 years ago the place where PostBier was brewed and sold, and where food and lodging was provided for mail-coach travellers.
1904 The „Post“ was bought by Jakob Huber and then completely rebuilt, and where food and lodging was provided for mail-coach travellers.
1907 when Anton Zinth Sen. bought the inn the brewery was relocated to Käsgasse some 300 yards away. The Post façade is decorated by an old painting, often admired by passers-by, crafted by local artist Paul Keck. The painting makes onlookers feel to have stepped back to the time when, after a long ride on the mail-coach, a fresh PostBier was most appreciated.
1974 PostBier was registered as a trademark in the Register of German National Trademarks to the benefit of Post Brauerei. Ever since this time, PostBier with its chequered history and its hospitable original building has become a particularly authentic trademark for the Allgäu region.
After completion of extensive renovation in 2010 Post Brauerei has managed Bräustüble and Hotel with their own staff. This catches on with our guests. PostBier‘s original company building is, what beer lovers desire: rich in tradition, comfortable and with cultivated service.
Groups of day trippers like to come to Weiler. A guided tour of Post Brauerei with subsequent stop at Bräustüble is particularly popular. See post-brauerei.de for more information about PostBier.
